EUR/AUD prints fresh 1-week lows sub-1.40
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The EUR/AUD cross is last quoted at 1.4015, off late NY session highs at 1.4057, following a strong bounce from fresh 1-week lows printed by the London session close at 1.3934. The cross is down -1.51% for the week.
The weakest against the strongest
EUR/AUD is one of the big losers for the week so far as EUR is the weakest currency among majors in last 2 trading days, while Aussie has been the strongest one. The 1.30 mark for the EUR/USD pair has so far proven to be a decent support for the common currency, thus being so too for the EUR/AUD cross.
Key technical levels
Immediate support to the downside for EUR/AUD lies at June 19 lows at 1.3998, followed by June 18 lows/June 14 highs at 1.3953, and overnight's fresh 1-week lows at 1.3934. To the upside, closest resistance shows at recent NY session highs 1.4057, followed by Monday's lows at 1.4122, and June 13/18 highs at 1.4170.
