EU's Barnier: We are prepared for a no-deal Brexit

Adding to his earlier comments, EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier was further noted saying that we are prepared for no-deal Brexit but have to find a compromise on Irish border issue.

The comments followed an earlier statement by the UK government spokesman that the UK Cabinet is stepping up preparations for a no-deal scenario.

Meanwhile, the GBP/USD pair seemed unfazed by the incoming Brexit headlines and held on to its disappointing UK data-led weaker tone below mid-1.3200s.
