Fed's Kaplan: Yield curve sending cautionary signals

Dallas Federal Reserve (Fed) President Robert Kaplan said in his speech late-Tuesday, he expects to get some clarity on the US economic outlook during the first half of the year while adding that it’s worth to keep a close watch on the economic and financial uncertainties.

Kaplan said that he expects inflation pressures to stay 'somewhat muted.

Further, he noted that the yield curve sending cautionary signals while weakening housing and manufacturing also pose risks.
